Medicine Delivery during COVID-19
Our drivers have all been trained to remain 2m apart from the doorstep. Please see below the explanation of what we are doing to keep everyone safe with our contact free delivery.
IF YOU ARE SELF ISOLATING
Simply leave a signed note, attached to your front door, instructing our driver where your parcel should be left. He will ring your door bell when he gets to your address the driver will wait in his/her van for you to collect your medicines from the specified area and once he has seen you collect the medication he will then leave.
If you have provided a phone number and there is no written instruction on your door then he will ring you to tell you that your parcel is outside your door and again the driver will wait in his/her van for you to collect your medicines from the specified area and once he has seen you collect the medication he will then leave.
For some drugs for example controlled drugs, a signature is required as the legislation requires the pharmacy to have signed proof only by signature and name of person taking the delivery.
In this case our driver will leave the parcel on your doorstep and step back 2m and wait for the document to be signed by yourself and collect the signed document before leaving.
Patient Safety
The pharmacy has a duty of care to ensure patient safety. This means managing delivery of the service on a case-by-case individual patient basis as always, including exercising professional judgement and due diligence, and making relevant checks such as Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks as appropriate
